Welcome to DataSort. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our AI Excel cleaning and merging tools for Excel and CSV files, how we look after your personal data when you visit our website, and what rights you have under applicable law.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the service:

• Usage Data: We track the number of files processed and rows generated to enforce plan limits.
• Account Data: If you upgrade, we store your User ID and subscription tier (Free/Premium).
• Affiliate Data: If you participate in the DataSort Affiliate Program, tracking cookies are utilized to attribute your referred sales. Your financial and registration information for the affiliate network is securely managed directly by PayPro Global in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• Uploaded Files: Files are processed in-memory within your browser and sent to the AI provider (Google Gemini) for processing. We do not permanently store your uploaded files on our servers.
• Saved Sessions: So you do not lose your work, DataSort saves your current table in your own browser's local storage. This copy stays on your device, is never uploaded to us, and is not readable by anyone else. You can remove it at any time with "Clear all saved work" in the Sessions menu, or by clearing your browser data.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the Service.
• Manage your account and subscription.
• Email you about activity on feature requests you posted or commented on. You can turn this off in your profile.
• Monitor the usage of the Service.
• Detect, prevent and address technical issues.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: For AI-powered data processing.
• Firebase: For authentication and database services.
• PayPro Global: As our Merchant of Record, they handle card and PayPal transactions tracking. We do not store your payment details. They also operate the backend cookie tracking and payouts for our affiliate partner network. For more information, please review the PayPro Global Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4: Measures how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and which features are opened, so we can see what to improve. For more information, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity: Records how pages are used, including session replays and heatmaps, so we can see where the interface is confusing. For more information, please review the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
• Ahrefs Analytics: Counts visits and referring sites so we can measure search performance. For more information, please review the Ahrefs Privacy Policy.

The analytics services listed above may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser, and they receive the pages you visit together with general device and location information. Our own event tracking never sends them your file names, column headers or cell values. Microsoft Clarity is different. Its session replay records the page exactly as it appears on your screen, including the contents of any file you have loaded into the table.
